Description

The Surgident PRF System Box is a stainless steel processing kit designed for clean, organized handling of Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) clots and membranes during regenerative dental procedures. After centrifugation, the PRF clot is transferred to the perforated inner plate where excess serum drains away through the holes, while the clot is gently compressed to form a workable PRF membrane using the included compression plate. The integrated multi-hole compression plate accommodates clots of varying sizes — from small single-tooth to larger augmentation cases — producing membranes of consistent thickness suitable for socket preservation, GBR, sinus augmentation, and soft tissue grafting. The full assembly is constructed from surgical-grade stainless steel and is fully autoclavable for sterile, repeatable use across cases. The branded P.R.F-SYSTEM lid keeps components organized and protected between procedures.

Directions for Use

Pre-Procedure Setup

• Open the sterilized PRF System box and verify all components are present and undamaged
• Assemble the perforated inner plate inside the tray
• Have the compression plate ready alongside

Blood Collection and Centrifugation

• Draw the patient’s blood into PRF-specific collection tubes following standard venipuncture protocol
• Place the tubes immediately into the centrifuge (sold separately) and run the manufacturer’s recommended PRF program
• After centrifugation, the PRF clot will be visible as the middle yellowish layer in each tube

PRF Clot Transfer

• Carefully remove the PRF clot from each centrifuge tube using sterile tweezers or appropriate transfer instrument
• Separate the red blood cell layer at the bottom of the clot using sterile scissors
• Place the harvested PRF clot onto the perforated inner plate of the PRF System box

Membrane Compression

• Position the compression plate over the PRF clot using a hole size matched to the desired membrane dimension
• Apply gentle even pressure on the compression plate to flatten the clot into a membrane
• Allow excess serum to drain through the perforations into the tray base
• Continue compression until the desired membrane thickness is achieved
• Lift the compression plate carefully and transfer the formed PRF membrane to the surgical site or storage container

Clinical Application

• Apply the PRF membrane to the prepared surgical site as per the case plan (socket preservation, GBR coverage, soft tissue augmentation)
• Mix smaller PRF fragments with bone graft material if creating “sticky bone” for augmentation cases
• Suture the flap closure over the PRF-augmented site as per the protocol

Post Use Care

• Disassemble all components of the PRF System box after the procedure
• Remove residual blood and serum from each component using surgical-grade detergent and distilled water
• Inspect each component for damage before reassembly
• Sterilize the complete kit via autoclave following the standard surgical instrument protocol
• Store the closed sterilized kit in a clean dry environment ready for the next case
