Directions for Use

Preparation

• Inspect all instruments for damage, corrosion, or worn cutting edges before each surgical use
• Autoclave the complete kit at 134°C for the recommended sterilization cycle
• Arrange instruments on a sterile tray in sequential order of intended surgical use

Incision and Reflection

• Use the scalpel handle with appropriate blade to make a crestal or sulcular incision
• Reflect the mucoperiosteal flap using the Prichard, Molt 9, P24G, or Seldin elevator as required
• Retract the soft tissue using the Minnesota retractor for clear visualization of the surgical site

Surgical Procedure

• Use the Castro caliper to measure bone width and verify implant site dimensions
• Apply the bone rongeur for removal of bone spicules and the Ochenbein chisel for bone contouring
• Collect autogenous bone in the bone well for grafting if required during the procedure
• Use the surgical mallet with appropriate osteotomes for ridge expansion or condensation
• Curette the socket using the surgical curette or Gracey curette to remove granulation tissue

Suturing and Closure

• Approximate the flap using Adson or wide tissue forceps for accurate tissue handling
• Use the tungsten carbide needle holder to suture the flap with appropriate suture material
• Trim suture ends using the Lagrange or Iris tissue scissors
• Maintain a clear surgical field throughout using the B-type suction set

Post Use Care

• Rinse all instruments under running water immediately after use to remove blood and debris
• Clean instruments in an ultrasonic cleaner with enzymatic solution for thorough debridement
• Inspect cutting edges and hinges for wear, then lubricate the hinged instruments
• Autoclave and store the kit in the supplied pouch for the next surgical use.
