Engineered with a precisely calibrated 0.1 mm bone grinding space, the mill minimizes bone loss during processing and eliminates the risk of stainless steel powder contamination — preserving the maximum volume of viable graft from the patient’s harvest. The five-component disassemblable design separates into handle, body, crush sheet, locking ring, and seal ring for thorough cleaning between cases, while an included bone pusher accessory allows the surgeon to collect every last particle from the crush sheet after milling. Manual T-handle operation gives complete tactile control over grinding consistency without electrical or motor dependency. Directions for Use

Pre-Surgical Preparation

• Disassemble the bone mill into its five components and inspect each for cleanliness and damage
• Sterilize all components and the bone pusher via autoclave following the standard surgical protocol
• Reassemble the bone mill under sterile conditions before the procedure

Bone Mill Assembly

• Place the crush sheet into the body, ensuring correct orientation of the grinding surface
• Insert the alignment and locking inner components above the crush sheet
• Secure the locking ring at the top of the body to lock the assembly together
• Attach the T-handle to the body for the milling stroke
• Verify all components are seated correctly and the 0.1 mm grinding space is set

Bone Harvest

• Harvest autogenous bone from the planned donor site (ramus, chin, or local site) using appropriate harvesting techniques
• Collect cortical chips, scrapings, or block fragments into a sterile container
• Keep the harvested bone moist with sterile saline until ready for milling

Bone Milling

• Place a moderate amount of harvested bone into the open chamber — do not overload, as excess bone makes milling harder
• Close and secure the chamber assembly firmly
• Rotate the T-handle manually with steady pressure to drive the grinding mechanism
• Continue rotating until the bone passes through the 0.1 mm crush sheet space into the lower chamber
• Open the chamber and collect the milled particulate graft
• Use the bone pusher to recover any residual bone left on the crush sheet for maximum graft yield

Graft Placement

• Mix the milled bone with blood, saline, or other graft materials as per the surgical plan
• Place the particulate graft into the prepared defect site using appropriate placement instruments
• Condense the graft material gently to fill the defect completely
• Cover with the chosen barrier membrane and proceed with flap closure

Post Use Care

• Disassemble the bone mill completely into its five components after the procedure
• Use the bone pusher and a soft surgical brush to remove all residual bone particles from the crush sheet
• Clean all components thoroughly with surgical-grade detergent and rinse with distilled water
• Inspect each component for damage or wear before reassembly
• Sterilize via autoclave following the standard surgical instrument protocol
• Store the sterilized instrument and bone pusher in a clean dry environment ready for the next case
