Directions for Use

Pre-Surgical Setup

• Open the sterilized SD-NLBC kit and verify all drills, collectors, the bone pusher, and the case are present
• Have a sterile container ready for collecting the harvested bone particles
• Plan the implant osteotomy sequence and identify which drill diameters will be used

Drill and Collector Setup

• Confirm the implant diameter and osteotomy sequence per the implant manufacturer’s protocol
• Select the appropriate harvest drill matched to the planned diameter (Ø2.0, 3.0, 4.0, or 5.0 mm)
• Attach the matching diameter bone harvest collector to the drill assembly
• Connect the drill to a compatible surgical motor handpiece

Osteotomy with Bone Collection

• Begin drilling at the planned implant site using normal saline irrigation
• The harvest drill cuts the osteotomy while the matching collector captures the released bone particles
• Use micro-drilling motion for accurate point preparation at each planned position
• Progress through the drilling sequence using successive drill and collector sizes as needed
• Remove the drill assembly carefully to preserve the collected bone within the collector

Bone Particle Recovery

• Separate the bone harvest collector from the drill
• Hold the collector over a sterile collection container or bowl
• Insert the bone pusher into the collector and push the harvested bone particles out into the container
• Repeat with each collector used during the osteotomy sequence
• Keep the collected bone moist with sterile saline until ready for grafting

Graft Application

• Use the collected autogenous bone immediately for the planned augmentation
• Mix with allograft, xenograft, or other graft materials as the case requires
• Place the graft into the recipient site — socket preservation, GBR defect, sinus floor, or peri-implant gap
• Cover with a barrier membrane and proceed with the planned closure

Post Use Care

• Clean each drill and collector thoroughly using the bone pusher and a soft surgical brush to remove all bone debris
• Rinse all stainless steel components with surgical-grade detergent and distilled water
• Inspect each drill and collector for damage, dull edges, or wear before reuse
• Sterilize the components via autoclave following the recommended protocol
• Return all items to their designated positions in the plastic case for storage
