Waldent Neo Straight Dental Handpiece is a low-speed dental handpiece used in dental procedures. The straight handpiece by Waldent is an E Type slow speed handpiece. Suitable for any E-type headpiece accords with ISO standard. It is designed to facilitate more user-comfortability for the professional and a significant reduction in procedural times for their patients. With the innovative technique, those hard to reach and hard to see places are more easily accessible, thus streamlining and shortening procedures, making it possible to achieve results with greater accuracy and precision.

Directions for Use

Pre-Operational Checks:

• Ensure that the handpiece is properly autoclaved for sterilization at the recommended temperature (135°C).
• Inspect the handpiece, hose, and attachments for any damage or wear. Do not use if any issues are identified.

Connection to Dental Unit:

• Connect the Waldent Neo Straight Dental Handpiece to the dental unit using the appropriate coupling mechanism, ensuring a secure fit.

Air and Water Supply:

• Connect the air and water supply hoses to the handpiece. Adjust the air pressure to the recommended range (245-345 kPa) and water pressure to the specified level (198 kPa).

Bur Installation:

• Select the appropriate bur size within the recommended range (2.334-2.335).
• Insert the bur into the handpiece chuck and securely.

External Cooling System (if applicable):

• If the handpiece has an external cooling system, make sure it is properly connected and functioning to provide effective cooling during the procedure.

Handpiece Operation:

• Activate the dental unit to start the handpiece. Use the foot control or the dental unit’s control panel to adjust the handpiece speed within the specified RPM 40,000rpm.

Dental Procedure:

• Perform the intended dental procedure, whether it’s trimming dentures, conducting minor oral surgeries, or other applications. Take advantage of the handpiece’s ergonomic design for a comfortable grip.

Cleaning and Sterilization:

• After completing the procedure, disconnect the handpiece from the dental unit.
• Autoclave the handpiece for proper sterilization before the next use.

Maintenance:

• Replace any worn or damaged parts promptly.
