Directions for Use

Setup and Inspection:

Connect Gas Sources:

• Connect the nitrous oxide and oxygen gas sources to the appropriate inlets on the machine.

Adjust Flow Rates:

• Set the desired flow rates for nitrous oxide and oxygen based on the patient’s requirements. The Baldus Analog has a maximum total flow of 15 liters per minute.

Safety Check:

• Check that the integrated advisory tone system is operational. It will alert you in case of an oxygen shortage.

Start Sedation:

• Once all settings are in place, start the sedation procedure by directing the sedation gas mixture to the patient via the appropriate delivery method, such as a mask or nasal hood.

Monitoring:

• Continuously monitor the patient’s condition during the sedation process, including vital signs and response to sedation.

Adjust as Needed:

• You can easily adjust the nitrous oxide concentration to maintain the desired sedation level for the patient.

Conclude Sedation:

• Once the procedure is complete, stop the sedation by discontinuing the flow of nitrous oxide and oxygen.

Disconnect Gas Sources:
