Surgident Easy Bone Expander Kit with Stopper (SD-EBE) is a complete bone expansion and collection system designed for atraumatic widening of narrow alveolar ridges prior to implant placement. Its threaded expander drills gradually compress and displace bone laterally, preserving valuable autogenous bone and improving primary implant stability. The defining feature is the engageable stopper system, which connects directly to the drills to control working depth with precision and minimise the risk of over-penetration. A dedicated hand driver allows controlled manual expansion in the anterior region, where tactile feedback and slow, deliberate movement are essential. The kit also includes a guide drill, saw disk, handpiece condenser, ratchet wrench and extension, covering site preparation through to expansion in a single tray. Directions for Use

Preparation

• Assess ridge width and bone density radiographically, then select the appropriate starting expander diameter. Mark the planned working depth and engage the matching stopper onto the drill. Sterilise the cassette and arrange all components on the surgical tray.

Operation

• Establish the osteotomy entry point using the guide drill. Begin expansion with the narrowest expander drill at 40–50 RPM, or use the hand driver for anterior sites, advancing slowly to the stopper-controlled depth. Progress sequentially through larger diameters until the desired ridge width is achieved, allowing bone to accommodate between each step.

Post Use Care

• Disassemble the drills, stoppers and accessories, then clean ultrasonically to remove bone debris. Inspect cutting threads for wear, lubricate as required, and autoclave. Return each instrument to its labelled position in the cassette ready for the next procedure.
