At the core of the Medicept Self Post Starter Kit are the self-posts themselves, which are made of reinforced composite material. These self-posts consist of high-strength “S” type glass fibers, accounting for approximately 60% of the composite. This composition provides exceptional strength and durability, ensuring long-term stability for dental restorations. The matrix of the composite is an epoxy resin with a high conversion degree and a high glass transition temperature (Tg). This combination guarantees excellent bonding and stability of the self-posts, even under challenging conditions such as occlusal forces. The high Tg of the epoxy resin allows it to withstand elevated temperatures without compromising its structural integrity.

With an extremely high flexure resistance of 1500 MPa and a high and balanced flexure elastic modulus of 60 GPa, the self-posts in the Medicept Self Post Starter Kit offer superior mechanical properties. These properties enable them to withstand bending forces and provide reliable support for dental restorations. Directions for Use

Directions for Using the Medicept Self-Post Starter Kit:

• Select the appropriate color-coded Peeso reamer drill from the kit based on the desired post size. The available drill sizes are 0, 1, and 2.
• Prepare the post-space in the tooth using the selected Peeso reamer drill. Ensure that the drill size matches the intended self-post size.
• Thoroughly clean and dry the area where the post-space is prepared to ensure proper bonding.
• Take out the self-post from the Medicept Self-Post Starter Kit. Verify that the self-post size matches the post space you have created.
• Apply a suitable dental adhesive or bonding agent to the self-post.
• Insert the self-post into the post-space, applying gentle pressure to ensure secure placement. Make sure the self-post is fully seated in the post-space and properly aligned.
• Remove any excess adhesive or bonding agent around the self-post using a suitable dental instrument, ensuring a clean restoration.
• Once the self-post is properly placed, cure the adhesive or bonding agent as per the need. This may involve using a dental curing light to initiate the curing process
