Directions for Use

Setup

• Ensure the Woodpecker LX16 or LX16 Plus Dental Diode Laser is properly set up and powered on
• Choose the desired MF series tip (MF2-9, MF3-9, or MF4-9) based on the specific dental procedure you will perform
• Securely attach the selected laser tip to the handpiece of the diode laser

Adjust Settings:

• Set the appropriate wavelength and power settings on the laser unit according to the procedure requirements. The LX16 offers three wavelengths (450 nm, 650 nm, and 976 nm) for various applications
• Adjust the emission mode (continuous wave or chopped) as needed

During the Procedure

• Hold the handpiece at the correct angle and distance from the tissue being treated. The bendable design of the tips allows for precise adjustments
• Press the activation button to start the laser. Ensure to maintain a steady hand and follow the treatment area carefully
• Observe the soft tissue response during the procedure. The laser should minimize bleeding and swelling, enhancing patient comfort
• If the procedure generates heat, consider using water irrigation to cool the area and prevent thermal damage

Post-Procedure

• Once the procedure is complete, deactivate the laser and remove the tip from the handpiece
• Clean and store the laser device and dispose these tips safely
