Directions for Use

Preparation

• Ensure the device is fully charged.
• Disinfect the probe with a suitable medical-grade disinfectant and allow it to dry completely.

Power On

• Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn on the device.

White Balance Calibration

• Place the device on the calibration base.
• The device will automatically perform white balance calibration upon startup.
• Wait for the “Ready” screen before proceeding.

Mode Selection

Select the appropriate mode:

• Intraoral Mode: For measuring natural teeth.
• Extraoral Mode: For measuring shade guide teeth.
• Switch modes by pressing the button three times quickly.

Measurement

• Carefully observe and identify the center of the dentin on the target tooth.
• Place the probe gently but firmly on the thickest dentin area, keeping it parallel to the tooth surface.
• Press and hold the button for 1 second, then release after hearing a “beep” to complete the measurement.

Interpreting Results

View the results on the display:

• First row: VITA 3D-MASTER system.
• Second row: VITA Classic (A1-D4) system.

Refer to the color indicators (green/yellow/red) for result accuracy.

After Measurement

• Disinfect the probe after each use.
• Power off the device by pressing and holding the button for 10 seconds.

Charging

• Recharge the device using the provided USB cable and adapter when the low battery icon appears.
