Directions for Use

Connecting AC Power Cord:

• Correctly align the AC power cord with the AC power cord connector socket at the back of the control unit.
• Insert the AC power cord firmly into the socket.

Installing Foot Control Batteries:

• Turn the battery cover counterclockwise to open it.
• Insert three AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
• Close the battery cover by turning it clockwise.

Mounting Coolant Solution Hanger Post:

• Attach the coolant solution hanger post onto the holder on the control unit.

Installing Irrigation Tube:

• Close the tube clamp between the irrigation tube needle and the irrigation pump.
• Open the tube cap to allow air into the bottle.
• Insert the irrigation tube needle into the bottle cap.
• Open the tube clamp.

Connecting Motor Cord:

• Align the marks on the motor cord and the control unit.
• Push the base of the motor cord plug into the socket until it clicks into place.
• To disconnect, pull back the lock joint and then pull further to remove the cord.

Connecting Handpiece:

• Push the handpiece straight onto the motor.

Irrigation Nozzle Attachment:

• Refer to the included handpiece operation manual for detailed installation instructions.

Attaching Tube Holder:

• Use the motor cord as a strain relief for the irrigation tube.
• Insert the motor cord first, then attach the irrigation tube.

System Checks Before Treatment:

• Ensure all components are securely connected.
• Verify the control unit main power switch is in the OFF position (O side), then connect to a commercial power socket.
• Turn the power switch to the ON position (I side).
• Run the motor for 1 minute, checking for proper function and absence of abnormal vibrations, noise, or overheating.
• Confirm compatibility of the internal spray nozzle/drill.
• Check the irrigation function and coolant solution flow level.
• If any abnormalities are detected, stop using the product and contact your authorized NSK dealer.

Compatibility Check of Internal Spray Nozzle/Drill:

• Attach a bottle of saline solution to the control unit.
• Connect the internal spray nozzle to the tip of the irrigation tube.
• Insert the internal spray nozzle into the drill from the back.
• Turn on the control unit and irrigate at maximum flow for about 5 seconds.
• Check for cleanliness of the saline solution, proper flow level, and absence of leaks.

Calibration:

• Attach the 20:1 reduction handpiece to the motor.
• Press and hold the CALIBRATION button for about 2 seconds to enter calibration mode.
• Perform speed calibration for low and high speeds as indicated, ensuring the display shows “PASS” or “SUCCESS” upon completion.

Starting Operation:

• Follow the instructions in “7.2 Programming System Operation” to set parameters like handpiece gear ratio, maximum rotation speed, direction of rotation, torque upper limit, and coolant solution flow level.
• Turn on the power switch of the control unit.
• Press the program button to select a program number.
• Confirm and adjust settings as necessary.
• Depress the foot control pedal to activate the motor.

Sleep Mode:

• Sleep mode saves foot control battery by activating after a set period of inactivity.
• To enable sleep mode, adjust settings in “7.1 Setting Key” and select a time interval.
• To wake the foot control from sleep mode, press and hold the speed control pedal until the normal screen appears.

Pairing with Foot Control:

• For first-time use or if unpaired, enter setting mode and select “BLE SET”.
• Open the battery cover of the foot control.
• Press the pairing button with a pointed tool until a beep sounds and “OK” is displayed.
• Ensure the battery icon is displayed, indicating successful pairing.
• Exit setting mode.

Preparation:

• Wear eye protection, a mask, and gloves.
• Turn off the control unit power switch.
• Remove the handpiece and motor cord from the control unit.
• Remove the bur/drill from the handpiece.
