Eighteeth Fast Fill

Description

Eighteeth Fast Fill is a cordless obturation system that heats gutta-percha in-hand and delivers it into shaped canals with fingertip control. The unit stores three programmable temperature/speed memories (100 °C – 200 °C) and reaches the set temperature quickly, while a piston-driven cartridge extrudes material smoothly at three push speeds. Disposable silver tubes in 25 Ga and 23 Ga (20 Ga optional) allow easy canal access and can be pre-bent with the supplied tool for three-dimensional fills. A lithium-ion battery powers more than one treatment cycle per charge and recharges on the green-LED docking base or via direct USB-C. Lightweight (≈1.1 kg kit) and autoclavable cartridge components simplify hygiene. Fast Fill streamlines warm vertical or back-fill techniques, improving obturation density and reducing chair time.

Directions for Use

Preparation — Charge handpiece, load the recommended gutta-percha bar, and screw a sterile cartridge with chosen silver tube in place. Ensure program memory (T1–T3) matches desired temperature and push speed.

Heating — Short-press the main switch; the blue LED flashes while warming and stays solid when the preset temperature is reached (≈15 s).

Dispensing — Hold the push button to extrude gutta-percha; advance slowly from apex coronally, withdrawing in ≤5 s to avoid thermal injury.

Changing stick — Use the built-in “Change GP” routine to purge residue and prompt insertion of a new bar.

Post-use care — Cool to <45 °C, remove cartridge by the black shell, wipe handpiece with 70–80 % ethanol, and autoclave cartridge nuts/tubes at 134 °C / 5 min.
