DPI MTA Putty Mineral Trioxide Aggregate is a ready-to-use, biocompatible material for various endodontic and restorative procedures. With a working time of over 10 hours at room temperature and an initial setting time of 4 hours in vivo, it offers clinicians flexibility and control during treatment. Its stable putty consistency ensures easy handling and precise placement, especially in moisture-rich environments. DPI MTA Putty is ideal for direct and indirect pulp capping, pulpotomy, apexogenesis, resorption repair, root-end filling, and obturation. The material provides excellent dimensional stability (+0.08% expansion), low solubility (<3%), and high radiopacity (8.1 mm Al equivalent), allowing effective long-term sealing and visibility. Each pack includes 2 x 1g syringes and 6 capillary tips for easy application.

Directions for Use

Site Preparation:

• Isolate the treatment area using a rubber dam to prevent contamination.
• Clean the cavity or canal thoroughly and remove all debris or infected tissue.
• Ensure a moist (not wet) environment—avoid desiccation as MTA requires moisture to set.

Material Preparation:

• Select and attach a sterile capillary tip to the MTA putty syringe.
• Express a small amount of material onto a mixing pad to check flow and consistency.

Application:

• Directly dispense the MTA putty into the treatment site using the syringe with tip.
• Use a micro-applicator, plugger, or suitable instrument to gently compact and adapt the material to the walls.
• In cases of perforation repair or apexification, ensure a dense fill at the apical or defect site.

Setting and Finalization:

• Place a moist cotton pellet over the MTA if needed and temporize the access cavity.
• Allow at least 4 hours of undisturbed setting in a moist environment (or as per clinician’s protocol).
• Verify set before proceeding with permanent restoration or further treatment.
