INDICATIONS:

• As a medicament in Pulpotomy: Used as a pulpotomy medicament to control pulpal bleeding in vital pulp therapy 
• As an antibacterial agent: It not only exhibites hemostatic action but also has antimicrobial activity. Antibacterial efficacy of it is similar to 0.2% chlorhexidine.
• During restorative procedures: One of the most common chemical hemostatic reagents used in the restorative dentistry.
• For gingival displacement in prosthodontics: It can be used for tissue displacement along with retraction cord while recording impression.
  
• Management of postextraction hemorrhage: Not widely used to control postextraction hemorrhage; however, it may offer assistance with mucosal tears or uncontrolled postextraction hemorrhage in gingival tissues
• As hemostatic agent used in periradicular and endodontic surgery: Control of bleeding during any surgical procedure is imperative and can be achieved by practical and effective systemic or topical approaches.

Directions for Use

Preparation: Ensure the treatment area is clean and dry before application.

Application:

• Remove the cap from the Easy Stat tube.
• Apply a sufficient amount of gel directly to the gingival area requiring retraction. Ensure even coverage for effective results.

Adherence: Allow the gel to adhere to the treatment area. It should stay in place without significant displacement.

Rubbing and Clearing:

• Gently rub the applied gel area with a cotton pellet to promote even distribution and assist in the retraction process.
• Optionally, use a smooth air/water spray to eliminate any coagulates or debris that may obstruct visibility.

Insertion of Retractor Cord: Carefully insert the retractor cord into the prepared gingival space using an appropriate instrument. Ensure precise placement to achieve optimal retraction.

Rinsing: Rinse the treated area with a firm air/spray to enhance the effectiveness of the retraction process and ensure clarity during subsequent procedures.

Waiting Period: Allow a few minutes for the gingival retraction to occur. During this time, the gel facilitates the retraction process, making it easier to remove the retractor cord when necessary.

Cord Removal: Once sufficient retraction is achieved, carefully remove the retractor cord from the gingival space before proceeding with impression-making or denture cementation.

Storage

• After use, securely close the Easy Stat tube to prevent drying or contamination.
• Store the product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain its effectiveness until the next use.
