Directions for Use

Preparation

• Confirm the patient is diagnosed with peri-implant mucositis or peri-implantitis requiring mechanical debridement
• Sterilize the ICB-2 brush via autoclave before clinical use
• Connect the brush to a compatible contra-angle handpiece

Clinical Setup

• Achieve adequate local anesthesia at the peri-implant site if required
• Identify the affected implant and the depth of peri-implant pocket through clinical and radiographic assessment
• For surgical access cases, complete flap elevation to expose the implant surface

Debridement Procedure

• Set the contra-angle handpiece to a rotation speed within the 500 to 1200 RPM range
• Apply copious saline irrigation throughout the brushing procedure
• Insert the brush head into the peri-implant pocket or against the exposed implant surface
• Use gentle controlled brushing strokes along the implant threads and abutment surfaces
• Allow the fan-shaped NiTi bristles to disrupt and remove biofilm, plaque, and granulation tissue

Post Use Care

• Clean the brush thoroughly after the procedure to remove biological debris from the NiTi bristles
