Description

The Corident CSA 650 Articulator is a fully-adjustable dental articulator engineered for precision prosthodontic work, full-mouth rehabilitation, and complex occlusal treatment planning. Manufactured in South Korea under KGMP, CE, and FDA accreditation, it features independently adjustable condylar inclination from 0° to 50°, Bennett angle from 0° to 45°, and Immediate Side Shift (ISS) for faithful reproduction of individual mandibular border movements. The integrated calibration system allows plaster casts to be interchanged between CSA articulators without re-mounting, streamlining clinic-to-laboratory workflow. A magnetic mounting plate system enables tool-free attachment and removal of casts, while the 30° backward tilt and fully open lingual access simplify denture setup and occlusal verification. Directions for Use

Preparation

• Place the articulator on a clean, level work surface with adequate lighting
• Inspect the unit for any transit damage and verify all accessories are present
• Loosen the condylar, Bennett, and Immediate Side Shift locks before mounting
• Attach the upper and lower magnetic mounting plates to the articulator’s magnetic seats
• Fit the silicone mounting moulds onto the mounting plates for cast retention

Mounting the Casts

• Trim the upper and lower plaster casts to fit within the silicone mounting moulds
• Apply a thin layer of mounting plaster onto the lower mounting plate
• Position the lower cast on the plate using a face-bow record or average-value mounting jig
• Mix and apply mounting plaster to the upper cast and engage the upper magnetic plate
• Allow the plaster to fully set before releasing any retention aids

Adjustment and Operation

• Set the condylar angle on both sides between 0° and 50° as per the patient’s record
• Set the Bennett angle between 0° and 45° based on the lateral guidance value
• Adjust the Immediate Side Shift to match the recorded condylographic value
• Insert the incisal pin and select the 10° or 20° incisal table for anterior guidance
• Lock all settings and articulate the casts through protrusive, retrusive, and lateral movements
• Tilt the articulator backward up to 30° for improved access during occlusal adjustment

Post-Use Care

• Loosen all locks and remove the casts from the magnetic mounting plates
• Clean any residual plaster from the plates, moulds, and articulator body using a soft brush
• Wipe metal parts with a dry, lint-free cloth to prevent moisture build-up
• Store the articulator and accessories in the hard carrying case in a dry environment
