Directions for Use

To use the Waldent Schuster Class B Autoclave 23L effectively, follow these step-by-step directions:

Preparation:

• Ensure the autoclave is placed on a stable surface with proper ventilation.
• Check the water levels in both the clean water tank and waste water reservoir, ensuring they are adequately filled.
• Ensure all instruments to be sterilized are properly cleaned and packaged according to standard protocols.

Power On:

• Plug the autoclave into a suitable power outlet with the provided voltage and frequency (AC220V, 50Hz).
• Switch on the power using the designated power button.

Loading:

• Open the autoclave chamber doors using the handles.
• Load the instruments into the sterilization chamber, making sure not to overcrowd or obstruct the trays.
• Close the chamber doors securely.

Settings:

• Use the touch-button control panel to select the desired sterilization program (e.g., 121℃ or 134℃).
• Adjust any additional parameters such as dry time according to preference.

Initiation:

• Once settings are configured, initiate the sterilization cycle by pressing the start button.
• The autoclave will begin the sterilization process, and the LCD display will provide real-time status updates.

Monitoring:

• Throughout the sterilization cycle, monitor the autoclave for any alarms or warnings.
• Address any issues promptly, such as low water levels or system malfunctions.

Completion:

• Once the sterilization cycle is complete, the autoclave will emit a signal indicating the cycle has finished.
• Carefully open the chamber doors using caution as steam may be released.
• Allow the instruments to cool before handling.

Unloading:

• Remove sterilized instruments from the chamber using appropriate handling procedures.
• Store or use sterilized instruments as needed.

Shutdown:

• After use, power off the autoclave using the designated power button.
• Clean the exterior of the autoclave with a damp cloth, ensuring it is free from debris.
