• Local Anesthesia: Administer local anesthesia to numb the area around the tooth to be extracted. This step is essential for patient comfort and pain control.
• Tooth Accessibility: Use dental mirrors, retractors, or other instruments as needed to improve visibility and access to the tooth and surrounding area.
• Elevator Placement: Hold the selected root elevator with a firm but gentle grip.Insert the elevator’s curved or pointed tip into the periodontal ligament space (PDL space) between the tooth and the surrounding bone. Be cautious not to damage adjacent teeth or tissues.
