Directions for Use

1. Preparation:

   • Ensure the scaler is properly sterilized before use according to standard dental sterilization protocols.
   • Familiarize yourself with the instrument and its double-ended design.

2. Positioning:

   • Hold the scaler in a comfortable grip, ensuring a firm grasp on the easy-grip handle.
   • Orient the working end with the scraping edges toward the tooth surface.

3. Angle Adjustment:

   • Angle the working end of the scaler slightly toward the surface of the tooth for optimal contact.
   • This angle helps in effectively removing large, bulky supragingival deposits of plaque or calcified material.

4. Scraping Technique:

   • Gently insert the working end of the scaler into the gingival sulcus or along the tooth surface.
   • Use controlled, firm pressure to scrape and remove plaque or calculus deposits.
   • Move the scaler in short, overlapping strokes to cover the entire tooth surface and interproximal areas.

5. Interproximal Cleaning:

   • Maneuver the scaler carefully into interproximal spaces where plaque and calculus tend to accumulate.
   • Ensure the scraping edges on both sides of the scaler’s blades fit well into mesial and distal surfaces.

6. Rinsing and Inspection:

   • Periodically rinse the scaler and the treatment area to remove debris and assess the progress of cleaning.
   • Use adequate lighting and dental mirrors as needed to inspect for remaining deposits.

7. Post-Procedure Care:

   • After use, clean the scaler thoroughly with water and a brush to remove any residual material.
