Directions for Use

• Preparation: Before using the debonding pliers, ensure that the patient’s mouth is clean and dry, and all necessary tools are prepared and within reach.

• Isolation: Properly isolate the tooth or teeth from which the brackets will be removed to prevent contamination and ensure clear access.

• Positioning: Position the debonding pliers so that the angled tip is aligned with the bracket to be removed. Ensure a comfortable and stable grip on the pliers.

• Application of Force: Apply gentle but firm pressure with the pliers to grasp the bracket securely. Make sure the force is directed perpendicular to the tooth surface to minimize any potential damage.

• Tensile Force: Slowly apply a tensile force using the pliers to pull the bracket away from the tooth surface. The design of the pliers should allow for direct pulling of the bracket wings, minimizing distortion.

• Monitor: Continuously monitor the bracket’s response to the applied force. If resistance is encountered, reposition the pliers as needed to ensure proper alignment and avoid excessive stress on the bracket or tooth.
