Directions for Use

Here are the directions for using the VRN Phosphor Plate Scanner EQ-600:

Preparation:

• Ensure the scanner is placed on a stable surface near a power source.
• Connect the scanner to your computer using the provided USB cable.
• Turn on the power switch located on the rear panel of the scanner.
• Install the necessary software on your computer following the manufacturer’s instructions.

Loading Image Plates:

• Open the image plate tray located at the front of the scanner.
• Place the image plate (size 0, 1, 2, or 3) with the photosensitive surface facing up.

Scanning Process:

• Launch the scanning program on your computer.
• Follow the software’s instructions to select the desired scanning parameters (e.g., pixel size, resolution).
• Start the scanning process, and the scanner will read the latent image information from the image plate.

Image Processing:

• Once the scanning is complete, the software will process the scanned image.
• Use the software’s tools to enhance, analyze, or annotate the image as needed.
• Save the processed image to your computer or a connected storage device.

Erasing Image Plates:

• After scanning, the scanner will automatically erase the image plate, making it ready for reuse.
• Ensure the image plate tray is empty before starting a new scanning session.

Shutdown:

• After use, turn off the power switch on the rear panel of the scanner.
• Safely disconnect the USB cable from both the scanner and the computer.

Maintenance:
