Directions for Use

Preparation

• Inspect each elevator for tip integrity and handle stability before use
• Confirm the instruments are fully sterilised and dry before placement on the surgical tray
• Administer appropriate local anaesthesia and reflect soft tissue at the surgical site

Placement

• Select the appropriate elevator based on the case — 77R for posterior access, Offset Spade for initial luxation, Cogswell B for retained roots
• Position the working tip into the periodontal ligament space at the mesial aspect of the target tooth
• Use a finger guard or adjacent bone as the fulcrum, never the neighbouring tooth

Operation

• Apply controlled rotational and wedging motion to sever the PDL and mobilise the tooth
• Reposition the elevator progressively around the tooth to achieve uniform luxation before forceps delivery
• For broken roots, switch to the Cogswell B and engage the angled tip into the residual socket

Post Use Care

• Rinse instruments immediately after use to prevent debris from drying on the working tips
• Clean with an enzymatic solution and ultrasonic bath before autoclave sterilisation
• Store dry in a covered tray to protect tip edges between procedures
