Description

SuperEndo Finishing Files 20/04 are plastic, non-cutting endodontic finishing instruments designed for the final refinement of shaped canals prior to obturation. With a size 20 tip and 0.04 taper, the flexible polymer body adapts to curvatures, enabling gentle circumferential brushing that smoothens irregularities, disrupts residual biofilm, and helps reduce smear layer retention. The plastic construction minimizes the risk of ledging, transportation, or inadvertent dentin removal, while promoting improved irrigant penetration and sealer adaptation along canal walls. Ideal as the last step after mechanical shaping, these files support a more predictable seal by enhancing canal cleanliness and surface quality without altering the established canal geometry. Single-patient use is recommended to maintain sterility and performance.

Directions for Use

• Complete canal shaping to at least size 20/04 and confirm working length.

• Irrigate with NaOCl; optionally pre-rinse with EDTA.

• Mount the plastic finishing file on a slow-speed contra-angle (latch-type).

• Re-irrigate with EDTA, then NaOCl to aid smear-layer removal; agitate gently if needed.

• Final rinse, dry with paper points; inspect canal patency.

• Discard the file after single-patient use; do not use excessive torque or force.
