Directions for Use

Prepare the Retainer: Ensure the retainer is clean and sterilized before use. Inspect it for any damage or defects that might affect its functionality.

Select the Appropriate Size: Choose the matrix retainer size that best fits the tooth being restored. It should snugly fit around the tooth without excessive looseness or tightness.

Load the Matrix: Place the matrix band (often made of metal or plastic) into the retainer. Ensure the matrix band is secured firmly but can still be easily removed after use.

Positioning: Carefully position the loaded retainer around the tooth to be restored, making sure the matrix band encircles the tooth at the appropriate level to create the desired proximal contour.

Adjustment: Make any necessary adjustments to ensure the retainer fits properly and the matrix band is correctly positioned for the restoration procedure.

Secure in Place: Gently tighten the retainer to secure the matrix band in position. Be cautious not to overtighten, as it might cause discomfort to the patient.

Perform the Restoration: Proceed with the dental restoration procedure, whether it involves filling or shaping the tooth. The retainer helps maintain the proper shape and contour for the restoration.

Careful Removal: After completing the restoration, carefully loosen and remove the retainer without disturbing the newly placed materials. Take care not to damage the restoration work.
