Directions for Use

• Preparation: Ensure all instruments are sterilized before use. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, mask, and eye protection.
• Using the GI Dental Mouth Mirror With Handle: Hold the mouth mirror by its handle, positioning it comfortably for visibility.
  • Use the concave surface to reflect light and provide a magnified view of the tooth surfaces.
  • Inspect the teeth and oral cavity for cavities, cracks, or other abnormalities, using the mirror to view areas that are otherwise difficult to see.
• Using the GI Dental Straight Probe: Gently introduce the straight probe to the tooth surface or periodontal pocket.
  • Use the blunted end to measure pocket depths around the tooth by gently inserting the probe into the gum line.
  • Assess the depth of the pocket and document findings to evaluate periodontal health and guide treatment.
• Using the GI Dental Tweezer: Use the tweezers to carefully retrieve or place objects within the mouth, such as cotton pellets or small instruments.
  • Ensure a secure grip on objects to avoid accidental dropping or mishandling.
  • Use the tweezers with precision, similar to forceps, to minimize discomfort for the patient.
• Using the GI Dental Explorer Probe (Double Ended): Select the appropriate end for the task:
  • Shepherd’s Hook End: Use for detecting carious lesions. Gently explore the occlusal surface for any cavities.
  • Explorer end: Use for detecting calculus deposits and any surface irregularities.
• Post-Use Care: Clean and sterilize all instruments according to your dental practice’s protocols. Store the instruments in a clean, organized manner to maintain their condition and functionality.
• Safety: Avoid applying excessive force to prevent damage to tooth surfaces or gums. Regularly inspect instruments for signs of wear or damage and replace as necessary.
