Directions for Use

• Connect the handpiece to the dental unit: Ensure that the handpiece coupler on your dental unit is compatible with the TI Max Z900L. Connect the handpiece firmly to the coupler, making sure it is securely locked in place.
• Prepare the handpiece: Before use, check that the handpiece is clean and sterilized according to your clinic’s protocols. Inspect the handpiece for any visible damage or debris. If everything appears in order, proceed to the next step.
• Adjust the water spray: The TI Max Z900L features the Quattro Spray system for efficient cooling. Ensure that the water supply is connected and adjusted appropriately for optimal cooling during the procedure. Refer to your dental unit’s instructions for adjusting the water flow.
• Insert the bur: The handpiece utilizes the Push Button Chuck mechanism for easy bur insertion and removal. Without the need for tools, press the push button located on the handpiece to release the chuck mechanism. Insert the desired bur into the chuck until it is securely held in place. Release the push button to lock the bur in position.
• Adjust the handpiece speed: Depending on the specific procedure and the desired cutting efficiency, adjust the speed of the handpiece. Refer to the control panel of your dental unit or foot pedal to adjust the rotation speed of the handpiece within the recommended range of 320,000-400,000 min-1.
• Engage the handpiece: Hold the handpiece in a comfortable grip, ensuring a secure hold during the procedure. Position the handpiece with the bur at the desired treatment site within the patient’s oral cavity.
• Begin the procedure: Activate the foot pedal or the control button on your dental unit to start the rotation of the handpiece. Apply gentle pressure to guide the bur along the intended treatment area, maintaining control and precision throughout the procedure.
• Monitor water spray and cooling: During the procedure, observe the water spray from the Quattro Spray system to ensure consistent and efficient cooling of the bur. Adjust the water flow if necessary to maintain optimal cooling and prevent overheating.
• Complete the procedure: Once the treatment is complete, release the foot pedal or deactivate the handpiece from the control panel. Remove the bur from the handpiece using the Push Button Chuck mechanism, and discard it appropriately according to your clinic’s protocols.
