The Lotus Solus 910 AM+ #0 Braided Taper Point Polyglactin-910 Sutures with Triclosan (LAM2346-910) are absorbable sutures designed for secure wound closure in various surgical applications. Made from braided Polyglactin-910, these sutures feature an antimicrobial Triclosan coating to reduce infection risks. The taper point needle ensures smooth penetration with minimal tissue trauma. With excellent knotting properties and high tensile strength, they provide reliable performance during healing. #0 sutures are slightly thinner than size #1 but still provide considerable tensile strength. They are commonly used in general soft tissue closures, including fascia, subcutaneous layers, or ligation in areas with moderate tension. They strike a balance between strength and ease of handling for less demanding closures compared to size #1.

Directions for Use

• Preparation: Ensure the surgical area is clean and sterile. Open the suture packaging using aseptic techniques to maintain sterility

• Insert the Needle: Use the taper point needle to insert into the tissue at the desired entry point. The tapered design allows for smooth penetration with minimal tissue trauma
• Pass the Suture: Gently pass the suture through the tissue, maintaining consistent tension to ensure a secure closure
• Knot Tying: Employ a secure knotting technique suitable for absorbable sutures. The braided structure provides excellent knot security, ensuring that the suture remains in place during healing
• Trim Excess Suture: After tying the knot, trim any excess suture material close to the knot to avoid irritation
