Healthium Trusilk #3-0 Black Braided Silk Suture Reel (B822) – 25 mtr is a non-absorbable, natural silk surgical suture made from high-quality fibroin protein. The braided structure offers high tensile strength, smooth handling, and minimal tissue trauma. Coated with beeswax, it ensures excellent security and a smooth knot tie-down, making it ideal for delicate surgical procedures. Though non-absorbable, it gradually loses tensile strength over time due to protein degradation. Trusilk is primarily used for soft tissue approximation and ligation in general, cardiovascular, ophthalmic, gastrointestinal, and orthopaedic surgeries. Its black dyed form enhances visibility during procedures. The suture elicits a mild inflammatory reaction, followed by encapsulation in fibrous tissue. This 25-meter reel format allows surgeons to cut suture lengths as needed, enhancing procedural flexibility. Directions for Use
