Clinright 300mg Capsule belongs to the class of medication called ‘lincosamide antibiotics‘ primarily used to treat bacterial skin infections like acne (pimples), infections of abdomen, bone, skin, heart and soft tissues. Bacterial infection occurs when harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause illness. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly. Clinright 300mg Capsule will not work for viral infections, such as common cold and flu.Clinright 300mg Capsule contains ‘Clindamycin’ that works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, which stops bacterial growth. It shows a bacteriostatic effect, which prevents the multiplication of bacteria but doesn’t kill them. Clinright 300mg Capsule effectively treats infections caused by gram-positive and anaerobic (living without air) bacteria, including susceptible strains of Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae and Clostridium perfringens. Clinright 300mg Capsule treats serious infections caused by susceptible anaerobic bacteria in the abdomen, gastrointestinal tract, lower respiratory tract, on the skin, and in the genitourinary area.

Clindamycin is also used for treatment of infections of teeth. Penicillin antibiotics, such as penicillin or amoxicillin are most commonly used to treat tooth infections. Clindamycin can be useful in patients who are allergic to penicillins. It is also active against a variety of bacteria. This is important when it comes to tooth infections, which often involves several types of bacteria.

Directions for Use

• Take this medicine exactly as directed by your doctor.
• Do not take more of it, do not take it more often, and do not take it for a longer time than your doctor ordered.
• To do so may increase the chance of side effects.
• Take the capsule with a full glass (8 ounces) of water. This is to prevent irritation of the esophagus (tube between the throat and stomach).
• Continue to take this medication until the full prescribed amount is finished, even if symptoms disappear after a few days.
• Stopping the medication too early may result in a return of the infection.
