- Check occlusion, soft‑tissue adaptation, and emergence profile of the abutment with the provisional or final restoration.
Restoration Integration and Finalisation
- If the restoration is screw‑retained, ensure the access hole is sealed appropriately (e.g., PTFE tape + composite resin) to prevent contamination.
- If the restoration is cement‑retained, follow the appropriate abutment/crown cementation protocol, ensuring no cement residue remains at the margin.
- Instruct the patient on proper hygiene around the implant (inter‑proximal brushes, floss, water‑irrigation as appropriate) and schedule follow‑up visits to monitor soft‑tissue response and prosthetic stability.
