• Preparation: Ensure that the dental handpiece is properly sterilized and ready for use. Select the Mik Modified Interdental FG Diamond Bur with a tip diameter of 0.8 mm from the pack.
• Positioning: Begin by positioning the patient comfortably and accessing the target area within the oral cavity.
• Safety Precautions: Verify that the bur is securely attached to the handpiece and that all safety measures, such as eye protection and patient isolation, are in place.
• Starting Point: Start above the interdental papilla on the buccal/labial aspect of the tooth requiring treatment.
• Gentle Movement: With gentle and controlled movements, run the bur across the interproximal tooth structure. The safe-ended design prevents slipping gingivally, reducing the risk of margin gouging and trauma to the gingival col.
• Continuous Assessment: Continuously assess the progress of interproximal reduction to achieve the desired shape and contours while ensuring minimal impact on the surrounding tissues.
