Directions for Use

• Patient Preparation: Prepare the patient for the dental procedure, ensuring their comfort and administering local anesthesia as needed.
• Access Opening: Create an access opening to reach the tooth’s pulp chamber and locate the entrance to the root canal system.
• Working Length Determination: Accurately measure and determine the working length of the root canal using radiographs and electronic apex locators. This step is crucial for preventing over-instrumentation.
• Initial Exploration: Select the appropriate Mani RT File size and taper for the specific case. Start with the smallest size and gradually progress to larger files as needed. Gently introduce the file into the root canal and perform initial exploration to ensure a smooth pathway.
• Cleaning and Shaping: Using a combination of rotary and hand instrumentation techniques, work the Mani RT Files sequentially to remove pulp tissue, debris, and infected material from the root canal. Follow a crown-down or step-back technique to progressively shape the canal while maintaining the working length.
• Irrigation: Regularly irrigate the root canal with an appropriate disinfectant solution (e.g., sodium hypochlorite) to flush out debris and disinfect the canal.
• Patience and Caution: Exercise caution and patience when navigating curved or narrow root canals to avoid instrument separation and damage to the tooth structure.
• Recapitulation: Periodically recapitulate by re-measuring the working length and ensuring the file is following the correct path.
• Final Rinse: Perform a final rinse with an irrigating solution to remove any remaining debris and disinfect the canal thoroughly.
• Dry Canal: – Ensure the root canal is dry before proceeding to the obturation phase. Use absorbent paper points to dry the canal.
• Obturation: – Complete the root canal treatment by obturating (filling) the canal with a suitable material (e.g., gutta-percha) and sealer.
• Restoration: – Restore the tooth with an appropriate restoration (e.g., crown) to seal the access opening.
• Post-Procedure Care: – Provide post-procedure care instructions to the patient, including any necessary prescriptions and follow-up appointments.
