Description

GC Gold Label 2 Glass Ionomer Restorative Cement is a self-curing, radiopaque restorative material designed for long-lasting restorations in both permanent and primary teeth. Formulated with strontium-based fluoroaluminosilicate glass, it provides excellent radiopacity, sustained fluoride release, and reliable chemical adhesion to enamel and dentin. The material promotes internal remineralization and develops enhanced surface strength over time through interaction with calcium ions present in saliva. Its ion-exchange mechanism creates a durable seal at the tooth-restoration interface, helping reduce microleakage and secondary caries. With easy handling, sharp setting characteristics, and a tooth-like coefficient of thermal expansion, it supports conservative cavity preparation while delivering esthetic and durable clinical outcomes. The restoration can be finished and polished shortly after placement for efficient chairside procedures.

Indications

1. Class III and V restorations, particularly for
cervical erosions and root surface caries.

2. Restoration of primary teeth.

3. Core build up.

4. Cases where radiopacity is required.

5. Geriatric applications.

6. As a base or liner.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

1. Pulp capping.

2. In rare cases the product may cause sensitivity
to some prrsons. If such reactions are
experienced, discontinue the use of the product
and refer to a physician.

Directions for Use

• Clean the cavity and remove all debris and unsupported tooth structure.
• Condition the prepared surface using a suitable cavity conditioner if required.
• Rinse thoroughly and gently dry while maintaining slight surface moisture.
• Dispense powder and liquid according to the recommended ratio.
• Incorporate the powder into the liquid and mix for 25–30 seconds.
• Place the mixed material into the prepared cavity within the working time.
• Adapt and contour the restoration using appropriate instruments.
• Allow the material to set undisturbed.
• Protect the restoration from moisture contamination during the initial setting phase.
• Finish and polish under water spray approximately 15 minutes from the start of mixing.
• Check occlusion and perform final adjustments as necessary.
