Directions for Use

Preparation:

• Ensure all components are clean and sterilized before use.
• Select the appropriate Lucida Star Felt based on the area to be polished.

Attach the Felt:

• Secure the chosen Lucida Star Felt onto the autoclavable Latch Mandrel by screwing it on tightly.

Apply Polishing Paste:

• Squeeze a small amount of Lucida Polishing Paste onto the surface of the composite restoration.

Polishing Technique:

• Begin polishing at a low speed to evenly distribute the paste.
• Gradually increase the speed as needed while applying light pressure.
• Use circular or back-and-forth motions to polish the facial, interproximal, and occlusal surfaces.

Intermittent Touch:

• Utilize the rounded points of the felt to achieve an intermittent touch, especially in narrow areas.

Inspect the Finish:

• Periodically check the gloss and finish of the restoration.
• Continue polishing until the desired shine is achieved.

Clean Up:

• After use, remove the felt and dispose of it properly.
• Clean the Latch Mandrel and store it for future use.

Final Rinse:

• Rinse the polished area with water to remove any residual polishing paste.

Sterilization:

• Autoclave the Latch Mandrel according to the manufacturer’s guidelines for future use.
