Directions for Use

• Sterilise the forceps by autoclaving at 135°C before use.
• Select the correct tooth/root and confirm it lies in the upper anterior or premolar region.
• Achieve adequate anaesthesia and reflect the gingiva if required to expose the root surface.
• Position the beaks along the long axis of the root, advancing them apically as far as possible for maximum engagement.
• Grip firmly, ensuring the concave inner surface seats against the root for a secure hold.
• Apply controlled luxation force — gentle rotational and buccolingual movements — to loosen the root from the socket.
• Deliver the root along the path of least resistance once mobilised.
• Inspect the socket to confirm complete removal of all fragments.
