Description

Waldent RCTcal is a radiopaque calcium hydroxide paste with barium sulphate with basic pH of value >12.5 and is indicated for endodontic dressing procedures as root canal filling material.

Waldent RCTcal is a water-based paste indicated for temporary root canal dressing, pulp capping, vital pulpotomy, and apexification.

It is available in a 3-gram syringe kit which contains four 3 gram syringes and 12 disposable tips. The material is a soft, pre-mixed paste that can be delivered directly into the root canal apical areas by a plastic syringe and delivery tips.

Directions for Use

• Preparation: Ensure the root canal is thoroughly cleaned, shaped, and dried before application.

• Mixing: If required, mix the RCTcal paste according to the manufacturer’s instructions to achieve a uniform consistency.

• Application: Using a suitable applicator or micro-applicator, gently place the RCTcal paste into the root canal. Ensure complete coverage of the canal walls.

• Placement: For pulp capping or as an intracanal medicament, apply the paste directly to the affected area, ensuring proper sealing.

• Setting Time: Allow the paste to set as recommended by the manufacturer before proceeding with further treatment.

• Finalization: After setting, you can proceed with the placement of the final restoration or additional treatment as needed.

• Cleanup: Remove any excess material from the access cavity and surrounding areas
