Directions for Use

Preparation of the Canal:

• Complete the root canal treatment and ensure the canal is properly cleaned and shaped.
• Use appropriate endodontic instruments to create a post space in the canal, maintaining the required apical seal.

Selection of the Post:

• Choose the appropriate size of the Waldent Radiopaque Composite Fiber Post based on the canal size and tooth anatomy.
• Verify the fit by inserting the post into the canal. Adjust if necessary.

Trimming the Post:

• If needed, trim the post to the desired length using a diamond bur or other suitable instrument. Ensure the post extends sufficiently into the canal without interfering with the occlusion.

Surface Treatment:

• Apply a silane coupling agent or adhesive primer to the post surface to enhance bonding with the resin cement.
• Allow the treatment to dry as per the manufacturer’s instructions.

Cementation:

• Apply a suitable resin cement inside the prepared canal space.
• Coat the post with the same resin cement.

Insertion:

• Insert the cement-coated post into the canal, ensuring it is fully seated and positioned correctly.
• Remove any excess cement immediately to prevent interference with the final restoration.

Curing:

• Light-cure the resin cement according.
• Ensure complete curing to maximize bond strength.

Core Build-Up:

• Build up the core material around the post to the desired shape and height, preparing the tooth for crown placement.
• Light-cure the core material as necessary.

Finishing and Polishing:

• Shape the core and tooth structure as needed, ensuring a smooth and even surface for the crown.

Final Restoration:

• Place the crown or final restoration according to standard procedures, ensuring it fits well over the core build-up and post.
