Description

Cinch Back Plier, which cinches the wire behind the buccal tube. With only one squeeze, the wire is ligated. The pliers also allow you to make a range of bends in NiTi wire, including gable bends and omega loops.

Cinch Back Plier is an orthodontic tool used to fold Ni-Ti wire. The dental instrument can be used to press from the molar of the patient’s after fixing direction.The slim design lets the tool to easily and quickly bend distal ends within the mouth. In this case heat treating of wires is not required. This technique confers utmost comfort to the patient. The tool can be subjected to all types of sterilization method, especially autoclave chamber.

Directions for Use

• Preparation:

  • Ensure the plier is clean and properly sterilized according to your dental practice’s protocols.
  • Inspect the plier for any signs of damage or wear before use.

• Positioning the Wire:

  • After the orthodontic wire has been placed and ligated, position the distal end of the wire behind the buccal tube.

• Using the Plier:

  • Open the plier and position its tips around the wire segment that needs to be cinched or bent.
  • For cinching the wire behind the buccal tube, ensure the wire is properly aligned within the plier’s tips.
  • Squeeze the handles of the plier firmly but gently to cinch the wire with a single motion.
  • Verify that the wire is securely held in place and does not cause discomfort to the patient.

• Creating Bends:

  • If creating bends such as gable bends or omega loops, position the wire within the plier’s tips at the desired location for the bend.
  • Gently squeeze the handles to form the bend, ensuring precision and accuracy.
  • Check the bends to make sure they meet the desired specifications and adjust if necessary.

• After Use:

  • Remove the plier from the patient’s mouth carefully.
  • Clean the plier thoroughly according to your practice’s hygiene protocols.
  • Sterilize the plier using an autoclave or other approved sterilization methods to ensure it is ready for future use.

• Patient Comfort:

  • Throughout the process, ensure the patient is comfortable and the wire adjustments do not cause irritation or discomfort.
