Directions for Use

Preparation

• Inspect the working tip for sharpness and any signs of damage before use
• Sterilize the instrument through a complete autoclave cycle
• Select the appropriate tip width (2mm, 3mm, or 4mm) based on tooth and root anatomy

Placement

• Position the angled tip into the periodontal ligament space at the mesial or distal aspect of the tooth
• Align the working end with the long axis of the root
• Stabilize adjacent alveolar bone with firm finger support to prevent slippage

Operation

• Apply controlled apical pressure to advance the tip into the PDL space
• Use gentle rotational and rocking motions to sever the ligament and expand the socket
• Progress circumferentially around the tooth until adequate mobility is achieved

Post Use Care

• Rinse immediately after use to prevent debris from drying on the tip
• Ultrasonically clean and inspect the cutting edge before sterilization
