Directions for Use

• Identify the Band: Locate the orthodontic band on the posterior tooth (molar or premolar) that needs removal
• Position the Plier: Hold the plier in your dominant hand with a secure grip on the ergonomic handle. Place the plastic-padded tip firmly on the occlusal (chewing) surface of the tooth to protect enamel and provide counterforce.Position the sharp metal beak under the gingival edge of the band, ensuring it does not contact the gum tissue
• Remove the Band: Gently squeeze the handles. The sharp tip will lift the band occlusally (upward), using the plastic pad as a fulcrum.You may hear a slight “pop” as the cement seal breaks-this is normal. If the band does not come off easily, reposition the plier to another section of the band and repeat the process to gradually loosen and lift the band evenly
• Ensure Patient Safety: Once the band is loosened, use the plier to securely hold and remove the band from the tooth, preventing it from falling into the patient’s mouth.
  Always check that the plastic pad is in place before use to avoid enamel damage
• Post-Removal Care: After band removal, inspect the tooth for any residual cement and remove it with a scaler as needed
