Description

Oro cotton rolls are used to absorb saliva and other fluids to help keep operative areas free of excess moisture. These small rolls of cotton can be placed in a patient’s mouth at the outset of treatment. They should be able to absorb sufficient fluids to aid the treatment, and they also should not stick to oral tissue when they are removed from the mouth following treatment.

Directions for Use

• Preparation: Wash and dry your hands thoroughly before handling the cotton rolls.

• Placement: Gently place the cotton roll(s) in the patient’s mouth at the beginning of the dental procedure. Position them in a manner that provides optimal absorption and comfort without obstructing the treatment area.

• During Treatment: Monitor the cotton rolls and replace them as needed to maintain a dry and clean working environment. Ensure that they are not adhering to the mucous membranes or causing discomfort.

• Removal: Carefully remove the cotton rolls from the patient’s mouth after the procedure is completed. Ensure that no cotton fibers are left behind.

• Disposal: Dispose of used cotton rolls in accordance with your dental practice’s waste disposal protocols. Do not flush or discard them in regular trash.

• Storage: Store unused cotton rolls in a clean, dry environment to maintain their quality and hygiene. Keep them in their original packaging until ready for use.
