Description

Maarc Chloro Hx 2% Chlorhexidine Solution is an effective antimicrobial solution widely used in dentistry for cleaning and disinfecting the oral cavity prior to procedures, significantly reducing postoperative sensitivity by eliminating residual bacteria. It is particularly potent against gram-positive bacteria and serves as an essential tool for various endodontic and surgical applications.

• It is potent microbicidal against gram-positive bacteria thus far used as a root canal irrigant during root canal instrumentation.
• It is widely indicated as a final irrigant during chemo mechanical preparation.
• It is the choice of irrigant while performing retreatment root canal procedures.
• It is indicated as an irrigant in apical 3rd of root before retrograde filling during apicoectomy (root end surgery).
• It is a potent irritant while treating internal/ external resorption cases. it is widely used before sealing (Coronal/ radicular) perforation in the tooth.

Directions for Use

• Preparation:

  • Ensure the root canal is properly accessed and cleaned.
  • Remove debris and irrigate with saline or other preliminary solutions if required.

• Application:

  • For root canal irrigation, use a syringe with a side-vented needle to deliver the solution gently into the canal.
  • While performing chemo-mechanical preparation, ensure adequate irrigation to remove bacteria and tissue remnants.

• As a Final Irrigant:

  • After instrumentation, irrigate thoroughly to achieve disinfection before obturation.

• During Retreatment Procedures:

  • Use to remove biofilm and disinfect canals effectively.

• Apicoectomy:

  • Flush the apical third of the root with the solution before retrograde filling.

• Perforations or Resorption Cases:

  • Apply the solution around the perforation or resorption area before sealing.

• General Precautions:

  • Avoid forcing the solution into the periapical area.
  • Follow aseptic techniques throughout the procedure.
