Labodent Zirconia Ceramic Blanks ST-C (A1 Shade) are pre-shaded, standard-translucency zirconia CAD/CAM discs used to mill aesthetic dental restorations such as crowns, bridges, copings, inlays, onlays, and veneers. Each 98 mm disc is pre-pigmented to the A1 VITA Classic shade, so restorations achieve consistent colour straight after sintering with no coloring liquid required.

The ST-C designation stands for Standard Translucency with C-type disc geometry. The zirconia offers 43% translucency, a flexural strength of 1,100 MPa, density of ≥6.0 g/cm³, hardness of Hv10 1250, and fracture toughness of ≥3 MPa·m½, sintering at approximately 1,510°C. This balance of strength and lifelike translucency makes ST-C A1 well suited to both anterior and posterior single units and multi-unit bridge frameworks.

The A1 shade is available in four disc heights — 10 mm, 12 mm, 14 mm 16 mm 18mm, 20mm, 22mm, 25mm — so you can match disc thickness to restoration height and the number of units milled per disc. Taller 14–16 mm discs suit full-contour molar crowns and bridges, while 10–12 mm discs are economical for anterior and single-unit work. Directions for Use

Case Planning

• Receive the dental impression or digital scan
• Determine the restoration type (crown, bridge, implant, etc.)
• Select the appropriate blank size and thickness based on the case

CAD Design

• Import the digital scan into CAD software
• Design the restoration – crown, bridge, inlay, onlay or crown supported restoration 
• Verify margins, contacts, and occlusion digitally

CAM Milling

• Mount the ST-C A1 blank securely into the milling machine
• Select the correct milling parameters for zirconia
• Mill the restoration using your CAD/CAM system

Pre-Sintering Finishing

• Remove the milled restoration carefully from the blank
• Trim and adjust margins in the pre-sintered (soft) state
• Clean the restoration with a brush and distilled water

Sintering

• Place the restoration in a sintering furnace
• Sinter at ~1,510°C following the recommended firing cycle
• Allow to cool gradually inside the furnace

Post-Sintering Finishing

• Check fit, margins, and occlusion on the model
• Polish or glaze the restoration as required
• Apply staining if additional characterization is needed

Final Delivery

• Verify shade accuracy against A1 VITA Classic
• Inspect restoration for cracks or defects
• Deliver the finished restoration to the dentist for fitting
