Directions for Use

Select the Correct Bur

• Confirm the A-KB double inverted cone is the correct shape for the intended lab procedure

• Inspect the bur for any damage or wear before use

Insert into Handpiece

• Securely place the HP bur into a straight lab handpiece

• Ensure the bur is fully seated with no wobble before operating

Check Rotation

• Run the handpiece momentarily to confirm smooth, concentric rotation

• Do not proceed if vibration or wobble is detected — re-seat the bur

Set Speed

• Operate within 10,000–30,000 RPM

• Avoid excessive speed to prevent overheating of the material or bur

During Use – Undercut Creation

• Position the inverted cone head at the desired undercut location on the die

• Apply light, controlled pressure — let the diamond abrasive do the work

• Use short, precise strokes to create clean, defined undercuts

• Continuously check depth and shape of undercut to avoid over-preparation

During Use – Trimming & Contouring

• Use sweeping strokes for general trimming of acrylic or ceramic surfaces

• Keep the bur moving at all times to avoid localised gouging or overheating

• Use air spray when working on heat-sensitive materials

Post-Use Care

• Clean the bur thoroughly after each use with an ultrasonic cleaner or brush
