Needle holders are general surgery instruments utilized to firmly hold and maneuver different types of needles during a surgical procedure. The main parts of a standard needle holder have ringed handles, a ratcheting lock mechanism, and two serrated jaws. These are utilized to securely hold and maneuver different types of needles during a surgical procedure.
Tungsten Carbide tip is the premium range in these. We insert a Tungsten Carbide tip at the working area of the instrument to increase the Life of the product. This Needle Holders feature tungsten carbide inserts a material much tougher than stainless steel enabling the Needle Holders to last up to 6 times longer than standard inserts.

Directions for Use

• Open and close needle holders using a wide-based tripod grip
• Insert and extract the needle from “tissues” (e.g. towel, foam)
• Position the center of the needle arc at the tip of the jaws
• Close ratchet mechanism 1 click
• Place the needle tip at the desired insertion site
• Rotate the wrist to insert the needle until approximately half of the needle exits at the desired location
• Release the needle
• Grasp the needle with needle holders in the center of the needle arc.
• Tissue forceps can be used to help extract the needle if necessary. Don’t use your fingers.
