Directions for Use

Shade Selection

• Choose the desired shade using the IPS Empress shade guide before beginning the procedure.

Tooth Preparation

• Clean and isolate the tooth.

• Prepare the cavity according to standard adhesive restorative techniques.

Etching & Bonding

• Apply phosphoric acid etchant on enamel and dentin as per protocol.

• Rinse thoroughly and gently air-dry.

• Apply adhesive bonding system and light cure as instructed.

Composite Application

• Dispense IPS Empress Direct composite directly from the syringe.

• Apply incrementally in layers ≤2 mm to avoid shrinkage stress.

• Shape and contour each layer as required.

Light Curing

• Polymerize each increment with a curing light (minimum 1000 mW/cm²).

• Ensure curing time is 20–40 seconds depending on shade and thickness.
