Description

iDENTical Endodontic Treatment Model clearly demonstrates the deep dental caries progression with periapical pathology and root canal treatment followed by Crown placement. It is made up of transparent resin-made base, with well finished teeth.

This model is ideally used :

• Dental Colleges/Hospitals for explaining the students about dental caries, periapical pathology & root canal treatmnent
• Dental Clinics for explaining the patients in dental clinics.

Purpose:

• To help patients visualize the steps and procedures for root canal treatment as well as the healing process of apical disease
• Can be used in conjunction with patient’s x-ray images and pictures to explain the situation

5-stage model for visual demonstration of endodontic treatment steps :

• Tooth decay reaches the pulp inflamming the periapical tissues and alveolar bone.
• Tooth has been opened for cleaning the decayed portion.
• The root canal has been cleaned and shaped after preparation.
• The root canal has been filled with gutta percha and sealed with temporary filling and cast post is placed in the canal before final permanent restoration.
• A crown(removable) has been setup and inflammation has diminished.

• Irrigation: Apply irrigation solutions to flush debris and disinfect the canals, mimicking actual clinical procedures.
• Obturation Practice: Practice filling the canals with gutta-percha or other filling materials, ensuring proper technique for sealing the canals.
• Evaluation: After completing the practice session, evaluate your work. Review techniques, identify areas for improvement, and repeat as necessary.
