Description

Tooth Extracting forceps kit includes all the essential forceps required to extract different teeth. They are designed for use in specific areas of the mouth. The beak is shaped to conform snugly to the contour of the tooth. This makes it easier to reach different teeth effectively. Dental forceps handles are shaped so that a maximum amount of force can be applied to the beaks, while the handles are still in a comfortable position for the oral surgeon.

Directions for Use

Preparation:

• Ensure the patient is comfortably positioned in the dental chair.
• Administer appropriate local anesthesia as per patient’s needs.
• Gather all necessary instruments from the extraction forceps kit.

Selection of Forceps:

• Choose the appropriate forceps from the kit based on the tooth to be extracted and its location in the mouth.

Grasping Technique:

• Hold the selected forceps firmly but comfortably in your dominant hand.
• Position the beaks of the forceps around the tooth to be extracted, ensuring a snug fit.

Application of Force:

• Apply controlled and steady pressure to the handles of the forceps to grasp the tooth firmly.
• Use leverage and rotation as necessary to loosen the tooth from its socket.

Extraction Procedure:

• Once the tooth is adequately loosened, gently and smoothly lift it from the socket using the forceps.
• Avoid excessive force or sudden movements to minimize trauma to surrounding tissues.

Post-Extraction Care:

• Inspect the socket to ensure complete removal of the tooth and any fragments.
