Directions for Use

• Begin by selecting the appropriate size of the excavator based on the tooth surface and the extent of the decay.
• Clean and sterilize the instrument using standard sterilization procedures.
• Prepare the patient for the procedure and administer local anesthesia if needed.
• Use the spoon-shaped end of the excavator to remove decayed tissue from the tooth surface. This end can also be used to remove debris and shape the tooth structure.
• Use the pointed end of the excavator to remove small areas of decay and explore the tooth surface for any remaining decay.
• Periodically rinse the tooth and the excavator with water to remove debris and maintain visibility.
