Directions for Use

• Preparation:

  • Sterilize the cheek retractor according to the manufacturer’s guidelines before use.
  • Ensure the patient is seated comfortably in the dental chair.
  • Explain the procedure to the patient to ensure they are at ease.

• Placement:

  • Gently pull the patient’s cheek outward to create space for the retractor.
  • Insert the retractor into the oral cavity, positioning the appropriate side (small or large) based on the patient’s mouth size.
  • Ensure that the retractor comfortably holds back the cheeks without causing excessive pressure or discomfort.

• Adjustment:

  • Check that the retractor provides optimal visibility and access to the treatment area.
  • Make any necessary adjustments to ensure it remains securely in place during the procedure.

• During the Procedure:

  • Periodically monitor the patient to ensure the retractor is not causing irritation or discomfort.
  • Maintain a clear working field by using suction to remove excess saliva as needed.

• Removal:

  • Once the procedure is complete, carefully remove the retractor by gently pulling it outward.
  • Avoid abrupt movements to prevent discomfort or injury to the patient.

• Post-Procedure Care:

  • Rinse and clean the retractor immediately after use to remove debris.
  • Sterilize the retractor before storing it for future use.
